The muscles that support the urinary system, reproductive tract, bladder, and bowels together are known as the pelvic floor. These muscles attach to the tailbone and the pubic bone, and if they are weak or don’t function as expected, a child may experience Pelvic Floor Dysfunction.

The symptoms and issues from this condition may include constipation, frequent urination, and trouble controlling bowels or urine.

This therapy involves several techniques and exercises, including trigger point therapy, Kegel exercises, electrical stimulations, and biofeedback techniques, that strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and allow them to relax during the appropriate times. As well as addressing the strength of the pelvic floor muscles, we also address any issues with the muscles of the abdomen, hips, and legs. Thinking towards the big picture of a child’s health, we look for ways to improve their overall strength, flexibility, stability, and posture.
