Therapy Aide
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and organized Therapy Aide to join our pediatric clinic's team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our therapy sessions and clinic environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting therapists in delivering high-quality care to our clients, while also maintaining a clean and welcoming clinic atmosphere.
Job Duties
- Clean and organize therapy equipment and treatment rooms before and after sessions to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist therapists during treatment sessions which may include setting up equipment, preparing materials, and providing support as needed.
- Manage sensory gym check-ins, ensuring clients sign in and follow appropriate safety guidelines.
- Handle minimal front desk duties, including scheduling appointments, greeting clients, answering and making phone calls professionally and promptly, assisting with scanning, filing, and maintaining client records while following procedures.
- Develop and implement fun and engaging activities for children in waiting areas or during therapy breaks.
- Perform deep cleaning of the clinic twice a week, including sanitizing surfaces, mopping floors, and ensuring overall cleanliness.
- Run errands as needed, such as picking up supplies, delivering documents, or assisting with other administrative tasks to support clinic operations.
- Collaborate with the administrative team and therapists to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional client service.
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to uphold standards of care and professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare, child development, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Ability to interact positively with children and their families in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and addressing clinic maintenance and organizational needs.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment and software.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies as needed (up to 30 pounds).
- Stamina to stand, bend, and move throughout the clinic during the workday.
